The purpose of massage therapy is to relax and sooth the mind. Therefore, if there are any symptoms of stress or anxiety that is experienced by the patient during the session, it is recommended that the massage therapist remove any tight clothing, such as stockings and pantyhose, so the patient can be more comfortable. Even though massage therapists do their best to reduce or eliminate any discomfort, clients should always be sure that they feel no discomfort from their therapist. Always remember, that you’re the one paying for the service, not the massage therapist.
